Bangerter Highway lane closures scheduled in Taylorsville Friday through Monday; I-15 lane closures scheduled in Lehi Saturday and Sunday
SALT LAKE CITY (Nov. 21, 2019) – The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) advises drivers to plan for delays due to new lane restrictions on Bangerter Highway and I-15 this weekend.
In Taylorsville, Bangerter Highway will be reduced to one northbound lane and two southbound lanes near 6200 South from Friday, Nov. 22, at 9 p.m. to Monday, Nov. 25, at 5 a.m. While these lane restrictions are in place, crews will complete work to relocate a water line underneath the intersection, prior to construction of a new freeway-style interchange on Bangerter Highway at 6200 South. Work on the interchange itself is scheduled to begin in 2020.
In Lehi, northbound I-15 will be reduced to four lanes on Saturday, Nov. 23, beginning at 8 a.m., with additional lane closures possible after 9:30 p.m. On Sunday, Nov. 24, the freeway will be reduced to three northbound lanes until noon. Although crews may not be on site during these lane closures, they are needed to allow concrete to cure for a new I-15 bridge over Lehi Main Street.
Construction schedules are weather-dependent and subject to change.
