Media Briefing: UDOT to Showcase Nation’s First Operational Deployment of Connected Vehicle Technology to U.S. Transportation Officials
UDOT hosting workshop on connected/autonomous vehicle technology innovations, providing tours of real-world application on Redwood Road
Media briefing in conjunction with UDOT workshop involving state and national transportation officials on connected/autonomous vehicle (CAV) technology. UDOT is recognized as a national leader in CAV technology, and is the first department of transportation in the country to install and use it in a real-world, operational setting. UDOT engineers and other national officials will be available to discuss the department’s CAV innovations, as well as the state of this technology on a national level.
In addition, UDOT will conduct a short tour along a section of Redwood Road to demonstrate how this technology is currently being used to improve on-time performance of Utah Transit Authority buses.
