New Revisions to the US-89 Draft State Environmental Study Released

Updates information and input received since first draft was released in October 2017

OGDEN – The Utah Department of Transportation has released revisions to its draft State Environmental Study for the US-89 corridor in Davis County.

Since the initial draft of the US-89, Farmington to I-84 State Environmental Study (SES) was released in October of last year, the UDOT study team has continued to review all public input, and has now revised and made other refinements to the draft document.  The revised draft is now available for public review on the project website at “www.udot.utah.gov/us89.”

A public hearing is scheduled for January 16, and will be held at Davis High School, 325 Main Street, Kaysville, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.  The public is invited to the hearing to participate in the discussion about the environmental study, the future expansion of US-89, and to make comments regarding these revisions.  Comments can also be made on the project website, via email at “us89@utah.gov” or through the mail at P.O. Box 1033, Farmington, UT 84025.  The public comment period begins January 2, and will extend through February 3.

UDOT has prepared an informative video explaining the study process followed during the present state environmental study.  The video can also be found on the study website at “www.udot.utah.gov/us89.”

The public is encouraged to visit the project website for more detailed information about the project, to sign up for email updates, and to view the refined study document.  Questions or concerns should directed to the Study Hotline at 888-752-8789.
