Media Briefing: UDOT Bridge Construction to Close I-15 in Layton for Three Nights
Drivers should plan ahead and expect delays; crews to set beams for new overpass
Media briefing regarding a three-night closure of I-15 in Layton. I-15 will be closed between Hill Field Road and Antelope Drive each night from Friday, Jan. 26, through Sunday, Jan. 28, with all traffic detoured off the freeway and onto surface streets to get around the closure.
*These closures are subject to change due to weather or equipment issues.
These closures will allow crews to place beams over I-15 for a new overpass being constructed at approximately 1300 North in Layton, just north of the Layton Hills Mall. This new east-west crossing over I-15 will reduce congestion at the Hill Field Road and Antelope Drive interchanges and improve access to nearby businesses.
Friday, Jan. 26, at 9:30 a.m.
