UDOT to Open Tunnel at 10600 South Interchange in Time for Holiday Shopping Season
New underpass will improve access to the Shops at South Towne and other nearby businesses, and improve traffic flow in the area
WHAT:
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is hosting a media briefing to discuss the opening of a new underpass at the 10600 South interchange that will connect the northbound I-15 off-ramp to the heart of downtown Sandy. The new underpass is scheduled to open Wednesday morning, nearly six months early.
Members of the media are invited to tour the future underpass up close prior to its opening to traffic on Wednesday.

Southwest corner of the Shops at South Town parking lot

Personal protective equipment, including hard hats and vests, will be provided and must be worn. Closed-toe shoes and long pants are required to enter the construction zone.
Directions: Exit at 10600 South and turn toward the mall. Turn left on Auto Mall Drive into the mall parking lot, then turn left again and continue past Texas Roadhouse to the southwest corner of the parking lot).
