Report on Utah’s 100 Deadliest Days to Be Released
UDOT and DPS urge drivers to be safe on Utah’s roads
WHAT: The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) and the Utah Department of Public Safety (DPS) will release traffic fatality numbers for the 100 Deadliest Days in 2017 during a media availability. The 100 Deadliest Days is the time period between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day, where traffic fatalities typically almost double on Utah roads.
WHEN: Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017, at 10 a.m.
VISUALS: Markers will be placed in the lawn near the Calvin Rampton Building indicating how many lives were lost during the 100 Deadliest Days in 2017.

I didn’t realize that traffic fatalities almost double within a 100-day time frame. It would be interesting to know, if possible, what the average miles driven per driver are during that time period. I would think that there could be a correlation.
