UDOT Leader Meets with President Donald Trump to Discuss National Transportation Issues

WASHINGTON, D.C. (June 9, 2017) – Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) Executive Director Carlos Braceras met this morning with President Donald Trump, U.S. Transportation Secretary Elaine L. Chao and several other transportation officials to discuss issues surrounding the creation and maintenance of transportation infrastructure in the United States.

Braceras was one of a handful of state DOT representatives invited to participate in the discussion, and he focused his attention during the meeting on the need to streamline and align federal regulatory processes so that states can more efficiently deliver much-needed infrastructure projects.

Braceras will be available for a brief conference call with Utah media Friday at noon.
